The Sydney Marathon had a special atmosphere this year. For the first time, the race was officially part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors series, joining the ranks of Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, and Tokyo. That meant not only a record field of runners on the streets of Sydney but also some of the biggest names in the sport lining up to race.
Conditions were almost perfect, a chilly start that made the long wait on the start line tough, followed by clear skies and a beautiful spring day. With the Harbor Bridge, Opera House, and buzzing city crowds as the backdrop, it was a marathon to remember.

Hungry Runners on the streets of Sydney
Five of our coached runners made the trip and delivered fantastic performances:
- Darren – smashed through the 3:15 barrier with a personal best of 3:14.
- Jason – another PB, running strong to clock 3:26.
- Bella – back at the marathon distance, finishing her third World Major and dipping under the 4-hour mark by just a few seconds.
- Kiara – didn’t hit the time she aimed for but is happy with her run, 04h34.
- Michael – ran a PB and finished in 04h34.
We couldn’t be prouder of their results — proof that consistent training, smart preparation, and the right support pay off on race day.
We also want to congratulate Luke, BJ and Dan that also had great runs!
