LuangPrabang Ultra-Trail Laos

Congrats to Liz that raced a 55km (60km really!) over the week end! She posted a good write up and I will just copy it bellow!

" LuangPrabang Ultra-Trail was an adventure of a lifetime, I highly recommend it.

Being sick with the flu leading up the race, I did not know what to expect. I just focused on what I could control and surprised myself.

5th overall in female , 14th overall.

12:32:44 ( 59kms , 1900metre elevation)

Guide to Laos style trail running:

 - course marking does not mean there is a path present. You need to duck between branches and cross numerous creeks.

- moving cows, pigs, bulls off the trail

- climbing over 20-30 fences, crossing bamboo bridges

- acending/ climbing a waterfall by a vine

- running throgh so many different landscapes: cane feilds, local villages etc

- the distance and elevation of the course is just a guide.....

Now all my international friends are trying to convince me register for another Asia trail master race so I can qualifying for worlds "
