High Heat, High Stakes, and High Mileage

The past two weekends have been huge for the Hungry Runners!

Starting with Bella, who tackled her second Marathon Major in Berlin two weekends ago! Seven weeks before the race, Bella sustained an injury and could only manage a handful of runs leading up to race day. But that didn’t hold her back! She took a bold approach, starting strong and pushing through to finish just minutes off her personal best with a time of 03:40:30. Nice work!

Meanwhile, Jono tapped into his track roots at the NQLD Championships 10K, executing a clever race strategy. He paced himself patiently through the early laps, then turned up the speed to secure the win!

Last weekend was a wild one, too. Luen went on an epic adventure in the Simpson Desert Bike Challenge, a five-day stage race across sandy and hot desert terrain. Despite battling a stomach bug the night before, he pushed through, with his energy improving each day. He endured temperatures as high as 47 degrees Celsius! Incredible resilience, Luen!

In Perth, Charlotte made a last-minute decision to run the Perth Marathon, and she didn’t disappoint! Even as the final kilometers pushed her to the limit, she pushed through for an impressive finish of 03:48:13.

Finally, on the other side of the world, Alexis (Sid’s brother) took on the UTMB Nice 110K. This demanding course begins high in the Alps, crosses rocky terrain in a lower mountain range, and finishes on Nice’s Promenade des Anglais, with the Mediterranean as a reward. 22 hours and 23 minutes of effort—amazing work!

Huge congrats to the whole team!
